M Kid reached out and gently grabbed her arm as she started toward the counter. When she turned to him, he looked deep into her dark eyes and said, "I am hungry, Lou, but it's not food I crave and it's not my stomach I wanna fill tonight. It's you." She locked eyes with him, needing no further understanding. He was staring at her with a longing in his eyes; Lou could easily drown in his pools of blueness. She'd felt that way since the first moment she'd met him and it had only intensified the longer she'd known him. Without a word, she let him lead her to the stairway, like she was a puppet on a string. Anything Kid wanted from her she would do, no questions asked. This would be his way of saying good-bye to her, of taking with him memories that hopefully would keep him comforted for as long as he needed them. |

M In true Bright fashion she displayed the remarkable bond between Kid and Lou and their eagerness to re-consummate their marriage after a long separation with humor, love, passion and tears. He held onto her and rocked her, letting her cry her silent cry against his neck, wetting him with the tears that were a mixture of happiness and resolved fear and tension. He didn't say anything, he merely laid there with his lips pressed to her temple, kissing her sweaty hair in comfort, his arms around her in a steady grip. Letting her have her release. A boneless heap, she lay on top of him, never wanting to let go. She looked at the vein pulsating on his neck, and smiled through tears. Raising her eyes to meet his familiar ones. He truly was home. And
she cried shamelessly again, of pure happiness. Marking his skin with
her hot tears. Debbie |
