I got hooked on this story from the first chapter. And every subsequent
chapter drew me deeper and deeper in. I had to know what
happened. How did Buck end up in that place? Would the gang ever get him
out? And don't even get me started on Sophie.

This is a great story that plugs in some
of the gaps about Buck's life before the pony express.

I found this story because it was nominated
in a category. Well it fits in several. It's the drama of life, the helplessness
of the individual wrapped up in happenings he cannot hinder. Drama does
not have to involve grand schemes, it can just as much be like this

Another one that brings out the drama in
every man's life - silently gnawing at you - reminding you that nobody
is immune to life.
