*bright One of the first stories I read, about one of the most evidents gaps inte the entire series. This story filled it perfectly. So perfectly I consider this story canon - this is what must have happened. |

Dee Cindy writes the perfect filler after Home of the Brave. It answers many questions, showing how Buck would have dealt with what had happened with the Kiowa as well as with his new family, the Express. Perfect ending to an open episode! |

Tracy This is a funny and adorable little snapshot into minds of Lou and Jimmy. I always wanted to 'hear' what they were thinking during this scene in the show and the next time I watch it I'll be hearing this corker of a story in my head just like a voiceover. This is a fun piece. Nothing to upset the Kid/Lou fans :o) And how nice is it to have Lou being such a minx and giving Jimmy a difficult time? It certainly gave me a giggle. |

Wendy M Each rider nodded yes, and mounted their horse turning towards town. Buck was the last one, once again taking in the sight before him. This was his family, and together they were going to find a way to correct a wrong that was being done to the Kiowa, and with all he could do Buck was going to help find the true attackers of the way stations and homesteads. It wasn't going to be easy, but being an Express rider wasn't easy anyway, and becoming a member of this family was just about one of the biggest challenges Buck had ever faced. And he had survived, he was one of them. It was easy to follow the flow of Buck's mind as he reflected on the different members of his new family. |

Wendy M I liked this story...gave us an incite into the talk between Teaspoon and Rachel that we didn't see on the show...of how she became Emma's replacement. |
