This was a beautiful story about Jimmy and another female Express rider, Jack. I was so excited everytime Sid updated it, because there was such depth to Jack's character. The end (I won't give it away, I promise) was heartbreaking, but I loved the story!

Poor Jack and Jimmy
had such a hard time of it...we could all see that they loved each other,
but they were blind! And leaving their relationship unresolved only made
it more romantic!

I just totally fell in love with the idea of Kid
falling for her from the moment he laid eyes on her even though she was
a 'saloon girl ' True Love always wins. I loved the tension between them,
knowing they belonged together but struggling with it. It was so much
fun to read. Chapter 13.... Oh by far my favorite. Kid and Lou were destined
....no matter the circumstances.

I rarely *truly* feel a story has touched
my soul, but this one has. Sid just has a way of writing that amazes me,
and although I've loved her other stories, this is my favorite. The letters
Jack writes are so heartfelt and *sigh*. I have to stop, 'cause I gotta
grab my tissue!

Although I had
always wanted this episode to end differently, I never imagined it this
way. The love that grows between Buck and Emily is believable and wonderfully
expressed, as is the emotional turmoil caused by Buck's desire to remain
loyal to his dead friend while falling in love with Emily. |

The redefinition of the friendship
between Lou & Jimmy, after Lou believes Kid has been killed,
is beautifully written. Charla portrays a Jimmy who has
matured after being burned by one woman too many and a
Lou who struggles to remain faithful to her husband's
memory while falling in love with the man who has become
her best friend. The love that grows between them is so
tender and so real.

This story definitely belongs in the dramatic category,
but the thing that stands out the most for me is the romance. Kid's love
for Lou went beyond romance; it was the purest, deepest devotion. When
he sets his mind to court her, you're absolutely moved, whether you're
a Kid fan or not. It's the most beautiful kind of love and the most sublime
kind of romance.

The entire story was a series of love letters -
how could it not be nominated for Romantic Storyline? It was such a wonderfully
written romance of words that I couldn't help but feel the love radiating
from the screen. Each letter was as if the writer had taken their heart
out and pinned it to the paper. Whether it was Kid or Lou, neither failed
to tell the other how deeply they felt and how much they were missed.
They described the goings on around them and within their hearts and never
failed to reiterate the promise that they would be together again. The
epilogue was a fitting ending to this romance - Kid was alive! Aimee did
a beautiful job of portraying *true love*.
