Suspense

This award is for the story with most suspense. Which story had you on the edge of your set, awaiting the next installment, the needles and pins you were sitting on hurting you terribly everytime you checked in and found it still not updated? The story must be done, unfinished stories will be rewarded next year!

Becca What Might Have Been at Ponnyexpressen and The Hitching Post	Aimee `This was a great look at how Lou's life could have turned out if she hadn't escaped from Wicks. Becca handled the plot so well, showing us that no matter what happened, Lou and Kid belonged together.`
Nesciri Autumn Gale at Vaya con Dios Ike	Aimee Each and every chapter left me on the edge of my seat, begging (and sometimes nagging) for more! I am so proud of the way Nesciri handled this story, and the situations therein. Was Garrett going to catch them...was Teaspoon going to be alright...was Lou going to tell anyone what happened...was Buck going to get better? And I think the answers to these questions were exactly what I wanted them to be, although I didn't know it until they were answered!
Laura Brown Lucas Springs at Ponnyexpressen	Sid What's my motivation? The fact that this is a fabulous story! I was the lucky beta-reader, and every chapter Laura sent to me had me eager for more. I was hooked from the beginning; Laura really grabbed you with that first chapter, reeling you in with the news of Jimmy's death. Every chapter was better and better, drawing the suspense out just enough to leave you on the edge of your seat, but not enough so that you were annoyed. There were so many twists and turns along the way and it was a fantastic ride!
Raydeen A Dark Soul Set Free at The Buck Stop	Melissa This story captivated my attention from the very beginning. I couldn't stop reading it; not to answer the phone, IMs or to even feed my cat (who sat biting at my feet the entire time because she was hungry! LOL) I couldn't read each line fast enough so that I could find out what happened next. It was a non-stop rollercoaster of suspense and fear that left me with that cold knot in my stomach and goosebumps on the back of my neck. Aimee This story had me on the edge of my seat, afraid to turn off my light and go to bed!
Nesciri Dark Intruder at Ponnyexpressen	Aimee Nesciri was able to make the sequel as suspenseful as the first story! I was falling asleep at the computer when I read this story, and yet I just couldn't save it for later! She lured me in with the first sentence, and kept me there until the very end!
Miss Raye Following my Heart On The FanFicList	Charla This is a gripping fanfic that drags the reader in and just doesn't let go until the end. Just when you think you have it all figured out, you find new surprises in the plot. The suspense is riveting and the story line full of action. Execllent suspense!
Sid The Streets of London at Ponnyexpressen	Lisa R From chapter to chapter you never knew what was going to happen and throughout the first three-fourths of this story it was the most brilliant murder-mystery. Every time you thought the AMIT had Julian Westward he found another way to slip through their grasp. Then Sid threw at us the capture and believed murder of Nan Kenworthy and sent the story down a whole other path. It was a wild roller-coaster ride right up to the moment that they nailed him, one I would gladly take again! Aimee This story was so full of twists and turns, Sid had me in suspense throughout the whole thing. I went from knowing Westword was the bad guy, to wondering if that was right, to being convinced it was someone else, back to knowing it was Westword...then I went from knowing Nan was dead, but not accepting it, and hoping against hope that she would turn up alive. Then, just when I had finally accepted the fact that she was really dead, Sid sent me the chapter where they find out she was alive! And despite my e-mails pleading with Sid not to kill Nan off, the girl never said a word that made me think anything other than the fact that she was really dead. Sid is definitely the master of suspense!
Lisa R Honor Thy Father at The Kidnation and The FanFicList	Aimee Lisa told me about this story when she first got the idea for it, and I was lucky enough to read it as she wrote it. I knew the basics of what would happen, so I knew that Wicks would return, but I didn't know when. Every chapter that she sent me as his return approached found me reading more and more carefully. I would scroll down each page, expecting him to jump out at Lou at any moment. It's rare that a story can have me in suspense when I already know what is going to happen, but Lisa managed to do just that!!
