When the death of your civilization precedes you...
Not much lately. The EP is being processed. I miss company. It’s nobody’s fault but mine, I know. Still, it’s hard not to be disappointed. And then ashamed of being disappointed. This is what drives a hermit, isn’t it? Disappointment.

To try to draw a hermit from his hut is hardly rewarding. You might get slagged off, shoed away, ridiculed for even trying. And if you should succeed, you'd have to bear with the very notions that sent him into solitude in the first place. So what should a friend or a philanthropist do? Smoke him out and run away? Let him be? Arrange parties outside the hut, just to show him?

Strangely, he never thinks of anyone but himself as a hermit. He wants to receive, but he never thinks of giving something first. A hut on a mountain is really okay if one wants to be alone, but people do get the message rather quickly, so be careful.

I miss Sofia, among others.
