Silhouettes on the shade
Song learned #2: The Rays (The Diamonds, Herman's Hermits) - "Silhouettes" [Out-of-date lyrics, from 1957, I think. I'm sure they were ackward already back then. The man (and I'm sure it is a man), who is supposed to be a "normal guy" is highly suspicious and would probably end up being killed, if this would take place in a rough neighborhood. Let me explain. A man walks past his loved one's house. Through the shades he sees her with another lover. Although there's only a dim light and the shades are pull down tight, he sees virtually everything they are doing and spends the second verse describing it, hysterically ("Kisses I could almost taste"). Then he loses his mind and threatens to break the door. The lovers inside tells him his on the wrong block (maybe all houses look the same already in 1957. Of course they did.) Like nothing has happened, he runs to the right house, as he now "loved you like I never loved you, sweet"...
