The Old Eastern Province
I'm setting up this musical evening with my classmates. It was my idea, and if it's a success, I will be very proud. The concept is simple: everybody can contribute with something according to their ability. They can ask for help with something, for example, instrumental backing for a song. As to avoid complete chaos, me, Mårten and Petter practised a bit in secrecy the other night. We rehearsed a couple of songs where the highlights will be the heart-wrenching harmonica bits by Petter. But I sincerely think there are enough musical talent in the class to make the whole thing run smoothly. And when they wish for something I can't or won't play, I just use my manipulative skills to make them think that they never wanted it in the first place. Or I'll just go sit in the corner for a while. Mostly, I'm fine, though, with breaking the constraints of musical decency. I hope it's not unrevocable, that's all. Because sometimes I feel they are all that I have.

Anyway, for me, this is a substitute, for my beloved Cats. Although we haven't seen each other that much this Autumn, it's been an exciting time. I hope they welcome me with open arms and perhaps a friendly Bismarck when I get back to the Eastern province for Christmas.
