Peace for Christmas
Much to talk about. Almost everbody from our group went to Jazzhuset yesterday to see Augustiklubben with Nikolai Dunger + secret guests. The whole event was an appropriate closing to the Autumn term. The DJ:s were, for once, absolutely fantastic. I've never heard so much good stuff at a club on one night. My own attemps at hand-picked full evening itunes party shuffles are bleak in comparison. Many, many rock 'n roll and soul classics, with some newer songs carefully sneaked in.

The band was great, as usual, although I think Ebbot from Soundtrack of our lives could have practised a bit more on the guitar. Nikolai sang well, as did the really secret guest, Yukimi Nagano (who normally sings in Red Dragon and with Koop). She sang “These Days”, like Nico, but she forgot half of the lyrics. Oh well, apology accepted. She was THAT good.

I'm leaving now. It's been a good Autumn, I'll admit that.

Grr.. I can't think straight. I have to do this when I get home.

One morning, before the alarm clock sounded, I realised how similar the first parts of the vocal melodies in Springsteen's ”Hungry Heart” and The Jam's “Carnation” were. However, the backing chords paint the songs in very different colours.

NO, this is painful, I'll stop for now.
