German superlatives, pt.1
The best gig was Hamburg. The last time we played there was Friday at a packed Grüne Jäger. Now it was a Thursday at Prinzenbar and it was not as packed. But those who were there got value for there money, if I may say so myself. And they were attentive and very kind. I think we got the best overall response here.

The strangest venue was Gartenlokal Fortschritt in Dresden. It was a place for the garden colonists, since DDR times, I suppose. The locals were now sported tracksuits (the men) and peroxide blonde hair (the women). We played in the main hall, which was covered in black plastic, because they thought that the floor tiling would be ruined if it wasn't. Yes, we played in the main hall, but not on stage! The stage was occupied by the mixing desk and the DJ's. I hope there was some REALLY good technical reason for this, and not because the hip indie DJ's thought it was all good and proper. DJ's are often held in too high regard. The gig itself went well, although my own performance was kind of messy (my nose was running at some point!).

I heard only good things about the gig in Dresden, though it wasn't my brother's kind of music, as he told me later :-)
