I got a beautiful old postcard today, from Los Angeles. The mysterious "Y" thanked us for making his or her ears happy. The pleasure is ours, Y.

In other news, I just finished my first day as a stand-in teacher at St. Olofsskolan. It went okay, although I had to raise my voice quite a few times, especially during the computer lesson, since they kept on surfing on forbidden pages. Flash games, weird photos, social networking sites, instead of the exercises they were supposed to do. And during English, you couldn't hear the people who were supposed to speak above those who were supposed to shut up. So there was some struggle as I tried to assert my authority.

One shouldn´t be afraid to be strict when working with kids. They instantly notice poor disciplinary methods and then they turn on you. The little bastards.
