Finlandssvensk radio

Hej,

Very nice review at Indie 30

That’s more like it. Sweet. Makes me blush… compliments for never overplaying the hand, yep, thanks. But wait, “perhaps one of the reasons they haven’t ‘cracked’ the English language independent music world“. Hmm… interesting, very interesting…

I’ve changed my mind. I think we need to take that hand now and overplay it like there was no tomorrow. I want to ‘crack’.

Vinyls – look!

Here’s Ville in his pyjamas, showing off the All Blackshirts to Me vinyl. It was released by Cargo and can be bought from various friendly record shops, e.g. Stupido in Helsinki. Ask for it!

An Article in the Guardian…

…has to be noted:

Cats on Fire are sleeping on someone’s floor tonight. By rights, it should be the Queen’s; by rights, as everyone here knows, they should be stars.

– Neil Kulkarni

Yes, that’s what I’ve been going on about. The Queen’s floor!

Summer Tour in Sweden!

Cats on Fire will play in the following Swedish municipalities in July: Stockholm, Göteborg, Malmö and Haninge. On Saturday, when I was waiting for my friends at the Jakob Hellman & Nerverna concert, someone shouted “Cats on fire!” with the follow-up question “Are you still playing?”. That’s always depressing to hear, since you realize your media strategy hasn’t quite panned out. It is true that we’ve always circled a bit aimlessly below the radar here in Sweden. We are still good though!

20/7: Debaser Slussen, Stockholm
21/7: Jazzhuset, Göteborg
27/7: Debaser, Malmö
28/7: Special set at the Cosy Den festival on the Saturday of the Cosy Den Festival, Haninge.

Those who have followed us through the years know our special relationship with Cosy Den and we are very proud that we are still considered good enough to be on the bill.
