Valsorarna

Valsorarna (Valassaaret in Finnish) is a group of islands i the vaasa archipelago, northwest of Bjorkoby. It takes about two hours to get here by boat (preferably not a very small one) from Vaasa.

The lighthouse on Valsorarna was built in France in 1886. They were probably practising this technique beofter builiding the Eiffel tower :). The height of the lighthouse is 38 meters.

There is a small track from the harbour to the lighthouse throught the woods. This track is called "The path of love" for some reason not known to us.

Valsorarna is a paradise for the birds going north in the spring and south in the autumn - and a paradise for bird enthusiasts often visiting these islands every year.
