Fifth flight August 23, Saturday evening

Meteo promises overcast sky and winds from NE. Valdur and I choose a launch field in Kumna, two km to NE from center of Keila. The field is barely big enough, is covered with high weeds and looks uninviting because of high voltage power lines behind it on the upwind side and a smaller power line next to road on the east side. There are two large and beautiful fields nearby but the second harvest of hay has not yet been collected. We decide not bother the farmers. Darius and Deividas go to SW to find suitable target fields. Measuring chief Jaanus Väljamäe joines them. This time he wants to make sure that all targets will be exactly were they should be.

Task is Hesitation Waltz with three goals. Windreading shows that the goals are well chosen. Clouds are thin and much higher than forecasted. First balloon takes off at 18:44.

Fax from meteorologist Potishnaja claims that rain will prevent us from flying on Sunday morning.
