Hardware setup

- The box : ATX box of your own tastes but it should as silent as possible.
- Computer : The computer setup with CPU, memory and motherboard. In order to get a silent HTPC you should get good quality PSU and fans.
- GPU : Get a decent GPU which hopefully can manage without You really need to have tv-out to enjoy the movies on your television.
- Sound card : Anything goes. Iif your hometheatre system has digital input, use a card that has digital output.

Optional hardware

- DVD decoder card: Hollywood plus (H+) or any card using EM8300 chip. See: http://www.sigmadesigns.com

- NIC : Network interface card: Anything goes. Very useful if you want for example stream media from internet.
- LCD : A small LCD screen is always nice on your HTPC. This makes it possible to operate yout HTPC without opening the television; eg. just to play music.
