Story about us

Our family concerns of me Teija, my husband Kari and our child Milla
We live at the countryside (350 km north from Helsinki).

We are farmers and we had 80 heads of dairy-stock(in years 1992-2007).

From year 2007 we have biff cattle (Limousine).
We have in addition to dogs and cows also two cats.
At our farm we have also a home for dogs, where we take dogs to hand over. Also some our own dogs sleep in the dog home at night.

Now we have seven dogs, five of them are living with us.
Our oldest dog was a Shih-Tsu male (who past away 20.02.2004), he was fourteen years old and he was the one who started my dog intrest and the dog shows visiting.
My Shih Tzu Mintzun Idefix came Finish Champion in the age of 15 months. Our first Basset hound was bitch called Omppu (Tervahovi Opri). Omppus breeder is Irene Kanninen from kennel Tervahovi. Also Omppu is a Finish Champion. Omppu past away 1.4.2003.

In 1997 I deliver Basset a hound male from Sweden, Bazett´s Eroman (Eemeli)
With Eemeli I circulate many dog shows. In 1999 Eemeli went 15 dog shows and he was 13 times BOB!
Eemeli is Finish, Swedish and Estonian Champion and winner-99.
Eemeli have 43 descendants, many Finish Champions; Tervahovi Täti-Tomera, Tervahovi Triangeli, Tervahovi Tyyli Lyyli, Funbody´s Just like Dream, Funbody´s King Kong and Adattis Hound Dog for example. Eemeli past away 16.09.2005.

In 1999 I bought from Kennel Funbody´s tri colour bitch Funbody´s Just like Dream (Lötkö). She came a Finish Champion in 2001.
And with her I did start to breed basset hounds.

Of our kennel a Pug(female called Kastanjan Little Liatris)litter in 2000 was the first litter. The bitch gets on female and three male puppies. The mother of the litter was bought at a kennel Kastanja. Later I decided to relocate her to my sister.

Our second male Basset hound is deliver from Kennel Van Hollandheim.
Uncle Ben Van Hollandheim (Pentti) got a Finish Junior Champion title in 2001 and he gets successive dog shows two certificates.
In 2002 we went with Pentti to the World Winner dog show in Amsterdam.
At the same time we participate Dutch bassetclubs organized dog show. Pentti went well and was second best male in junior class. We also visit at Garla Gerber’s place. Pentti was Best Basset Hound in Finland year 2003 !

Pentti is my first Basset hound litters sire. Puppies were born 13.04.2002. Litters dam is FIN CH Funbody´s Just like Dream (Lötkö). They get 3 female and 4 male puppies, all tri colours. On of the bitches I locate to my friend Päivi Hakala, Basstrick´s All or Nathing (Lyyli). Lyyli is manage very well in shows, she is now Fin Champpion. Pentti is also father of second litter who born at kennel Pre d Amplex, Tiina Ketola. There bitch called Fin Ch Tervahovi Tyyli Lyyli gets three pups.

In 2002 I finally get opportunity to buy from kennel Swede Sun’s dichromatic a bitch puppy Swede Sun’s Bodil (Puttis).
Puttis parents are MULTI CH Swede Sun’s Klara and JW-02 NORDW-02 NORDJW-02 Swede Sun’s Vincent.
Puttis has done great at shows, untill now she got 12 cac, 3 cacib and four times BOB. Puttis was Best Young Basset Hound female
in year 2003!. And when she did became 2 years week after she became FIN Champpion.

In end of 2003 I deliver from Kennel van de Haelfe Maen male puppy called Xylitol (Jenkki). Xylitols father is famous Oskar van de Haelfe Maen and mother (who unfortunate died little while later the puppies birth) Janis Joplin van De Oude Watertoren. Who I did locate to my friend Jaana Annala. Unfortunately Jenkki have some problems at mouth( he was on operation where that problems did solve).But after that problems I have decided to not use him at breeding. I did give him to my friend Jaana Annala who owns him now.

In year 2004 born my second basset hound litter. Litters dam is FIN CH Basstrick's All or Nathing (Lyyli)and sire is FIN & DK CH Hurriahhip. They get 4 female and 3 male puppies. On of the bitches I locate to my friend Sari Asunta-Näykki, Basstrick's Be My Joy (Siiri). And after that delivery, Lyyli is now owned by Paivi Hakala.

Start of year 2004 I bought new breed, Chow Chow bitch called Tatam Estrella (Elli), who is bred Tarja Rouhiainen and Paavo Mattila kennel TATAM.

End of year 2004 I bought Chow Chow male called Simauta Dess Cream Cassius (Kassu), who is bred Alena Elyutina, Moscow Venaja.

Start of year 2005 born my third basset hound litter. Litters dam is Fin Ch Swede Sun's Bodil (Puttis) an sire is Fin Ch Jv-01 Uncle Ben van Hollandheim. They get 4 female and 8 male puppies. One of the bitches I located to my friend Tuija Lehti, EUJV-06 Basstrick's Care Me.

Start of year 2006 born my fourth basset hound litter. Litters dam is Basstrick's Be My Joy (Siiri) and sire is Basstrick's Cool It Down (15 cac, 3 times Besti In Show, many group placements). They get 4 femeles and 1 male puppy.
