Bereki-Tarisznyas Inci-Finci "Manó"
Manó is 3 years old fakó female, who was previously owned by Tibor Kiraly (kennel Kiralytanyai). Manó was working as a herding dog, and has had 2 litters; spring 2005 and spring 2006. Manós father is Pipõ's brother, ash colored Szürkevillám Hercig, and her mother is merle colored Dunamenti Nyájas Csincsere "Becses", who's competing in herding competitions.
Manó has been hip checked by MKOE (result: B).
Manó has been working mainly with cattle, but also little with sheep and pigs. Before Manó moved to Finland, she was Herding Instinct Tested (passed), entered in beginners class in herding competition (got result Very Good and was 6th and chosen for "Public's favourite") and passed also the FCI's official Herding Working Trial for Interbreeds. This trial was arranged for the mudis for the first time, and Manó was 3rd mudi to take it! Before Manó also her mother Becses and half-brother passed the trial.
In Finland, Manó has been helping in a goat farm for few times. She's eagerly working also with goats, though goats are known for their intelligence and stubborness. Unlike most sheep, goat not easily timidated, and it is very keen to attack any dog, if it sees any sign of hesitation. Manó is superb help as a driver dog, when she needs to collect and drive the herd of (150 goats) to the milking station in groups. She's also very intelligent, and great help when for example a goat decides to flee from the milking station; Manó will swiftly return the goat to it's place. Manó is very versatile herding dog; it has been herding cows, pigs, racka sheep and goats. Manó also keeps our pet rabbit in order. We try to use every opportunity to take Manó herding, and hopefully will have lot of chanses to work with her and learn about the abilities and limits what herding mudis can do. When not able to herd, we keep her busy with agility, obedience and dog dancing tricks. Who said old dog won't learn new tricks? In just matter of days Manó learned spin and weave, and is swiftly catching up with any new tricks! Manó is a pearl among the mudis!
Manó's been with us now for only a short while, but she seems to be very confident, open and friendly dog. Manó loves attention, and she is easily motivated with food.
