UE- Equipments in general

It is very important use proper and right kind of gear in urban exploration. Because many of the buildings of this avocation are often decayed and cluttered, you don't want to wear your best clothes. When entering indoors, there is good to have a flash light, not only to light way but also for photography purposes.

Camera & Lenses

The camera gear that we are currently using is mostly Nikon SLR's. There are lots of different lenses to use with SLR's but most functional is definetly a wide-angle lens. Why? Because the small spaces are easier to capture in one shot instead of 6. You just can't do the same thing with a 50 mm lens. On the other hand, 50 mm lens is very good for close-ups than a 18 mm lens.

These are the cameras and lenses that I always carry with me every UE-expedition.

Flashlights

Flashlight is a must, no matter how bright it is. There's always some dark corners in building and possibility of missing important things. Flash light is also a good substitute for camera's own flash or to be used as a focusing light. The downside of maglites is the size, therefor the smaller flash lights(with led) are also handy, especially in places where you'll have to crawl or climb.

Masks

In some old building there have been used asbestos as concrete building material which known to be hazardous. There fore it's good to wear industrial mask to prevent the filthy air going to lungs.
